"Fishball's Spicy Life Show" (鱼蛋的麻辣生活)

This is “Fishball’s Spicy Life Show” (鱼蛋的麻辣生活)a Mandarin Chinese entertainment show with a finance slant. The Mandarin synopsis for this programme is as follows:

Barbican-ChrisSharp-Mix

This is a feature about an upcoming concert at the Barbican on 26 April. Lots of really original bands, some of it quite avant garde, but worth going to. The programme is just over 23 mins long. It has a continuity presenter and then an interview with Chris Sharp, who is the concert organiser. He talks about the bands and their music. There are clips of the music .
This is part of the “Beyond the Wall” festival at the barbican. The organisers may be willing to offer you ticket giveaways if you plug their concerts!!!!

New Sounds of China - I

This is the first episode of New Sounds Of China (NSOC) with Paul Kendall and Wang Weilin broadcast on 7th May 2008.

Broadcasting in a mish-mash of the world’s three most popular languages – English, Chinese and Music – NSOC hopes to challenge orientalist perceptions of Chinese music, and prove that there’s more playing on the iPods of the People’s Republicans than just Peking Opera.

The show will include music by Meihao Yaodian, Li Jianhong among others, and an exclusive interview with Li Tieqiao. Tune in and prepare for … er, something!
